- ・The Regional Biomarker Medical Leader holds primary responsibility for the development and execution of regional Oncology Medical Affairs strategies and plans for biomarker in Japan across oncology indications. The Regional Biomarker Leader works under the leadership of the Regional Oncology Medical Leader and works closely with country medical affairs colleagues in Japan to support and give direction to the country medical organizations for country medical affairs activities concerning biomarkers and diagnostics. The Regional Biomarker Medical Leader provides biomarker and companion diagnostics scientific and medical expertise to the Regional Marketing Lead of their franchise. Primary Activities Primary activities include, but are not limited to: ・Executes Medical Affairs strategy for biomarkers & companion diagnostics ・Designs, updates and gives training both internally and externally, oversees pathologist training ・Coordinates, presents at and attends Advisory boards and other meetings with Scientific Leaders ・Conducts individual Scientific Leader and Pathologist interactions ・Helps with planning of various activities around major oncology congresses ・Supports commercial group for Launch Preparation and Post-launch activities ・Helps facilitate Patient Support Program and access to test in region ・Serves as a member on Companion Diagnostic sub teams in R and D ・Manages internal stakeholders with timely updates aligning countries in region with global strategy ・Interacts with internal stakeholders for needs assessment and planning ・Participates in Competitive Intelligence and Market Research activities ・Leads strategy and interactions with advocacy groups ・Tracks guidelines and regulatory landscape for Diagnostic testing in their region ・Review of Investigator Initiated Studies, creation of LDG proposals and interactions with External investigators
- Education Minimum Requirement: ・PhD or MD,PhD with specialization in Life Sciences e.g. Pathology, Molecular Biology, Genomics or Oncology ・Preferred: Experience with Oncology Clinical Biomarker Development, Companion diagnostic development and commercialization or Anatomic and Molecular Pathology Required Experience and Skills**: ・Minimum five years of experience at a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or diagnostics company in the area of biomarker or diagnostic ・Minimum five years of experience working in cross functional matrix teams ・Experience and confidence in working with diverse teams and functions ・Strong ability to effectively collaborate with and influence partners within and across divisions ・Proven ability to collaborate with others and to resolve conflicts Outstanding verbal and written communications skills Results driven
